Our Projects

Vocational skills training (VST)

We provide relevant and quality vocational skills training to youth and women with knowledge, skills and competencies required for the jobs of today and in future.  These skills are in the areas of tailoring and fashion design, embroidery, carpentry and joinery and motor vehicle mechanics. The organization also recognizes the role of computer and entrepreneurship knowledge as we prepare our learners to the labor market. Therefore, they all receive computer and entrepreneurial training throughout their training period.

SDGs Awareness creation in schools

SDGs awareness creation in schools encourages responsible citizenship by educating students and helping them to understand their role in creating a sustainable feature. As an organization we believe that SDGs are an integral part of our daily life and we can contribute to SDGs better if we help student’s develop insights into the critical issues in Uganda and around the world. By creating awareness about SDGs to young people in schools, we can make Uganda and the world at large a batter place to stay.

Child Protection

Child abuse is still a major worry, especially for the boys and girls from disadvantaged families.  Children who experience violence often experience long-lasting negative impacts on their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual growth. We enable families and other significant players to collaborate in order to build a safe environment that looks out for and supports all children, especially the most vulnerable. Our interventions are geared toward helping kids by providing them with social assistance and educational opportunities.

Gender Equity and Women Empowerment Project (GEWEP)

As a result of poverty being the major cause of Gender Based Violence (GBV), gender inequalities, discrimination and any other violence against women. LADE Community Organization under GEWEP enhances participation of both men and women in economic development activities. This is achieved through sensitization of communities, provision of social worker extension and outreach services. We also partner with other service providers to set up campaigns for behavioral change in communities and institutional actions on GBV prevention and gender equity.

HIV/AIDs Awareness

To increase awareness and prevention of HIV/AIDs, TB, Malaria and other diseases. We offer a variety of services, including peer education, behavior change communication, life skills education for in and out of school youths, counselling and guidance, youth-friendly reproductive health services, family life education, distribution of IEC materials among other services.

Enhancing the participation of PWDs

Attitudinal barriers continue to prevent persons with disabilities (PWDs) from achieving full inclusion in society, leading to stigma that negatively affects both individuals and their families. At LADE Community Organization, we are committed to promoting the full participation of youth and women with disabilities by advocating for equal rights and opportunities for all. We empower them to make informed choices, pursue their personal goals, and improve their access to quality education and meaningful employment opportunities.

Environmental Protection.

LADE Community Organization ensures environmental safety by creating awareness on how the impact of socio-economic and other man-made activities can affect nature if not well managed. We create and support environmental protection projects, including planting trees, managing waste, and recycling bottles among other projects.
